Mind maps created with Mindjet save time managing Twitter #Hashtags and help attract more followers.

Even a simple mind map, like the Mindjet example at left, can make a big difference in your ability to attract Twitter followers for your content marketing and self-publishing success.

Why #hashtags?

At a glance, when posting announcements and ideas on Twitter, you can quickly locate relevant #hashtags that you can add to your Tweets. This will bring them to the attention of others interested in the topic you’re writing about.

In addition, you can use Twitter #hashtags as a research tool to quickly locate recent posts in areas of interest to you. Instead of the random topics that show up in your Twitter feed, you can explore recent Tweets organized by topic.

Why mind maps?

Mindjet mind maps efficiently organize and visually display information, making it easy to quickly locate and access desired information by clicking the Twitter links. At a glance, you can locate, access, and explore the latest Tweets in any category.

Mind map, like the above, are easy to set up and easy to maintain:

  • You can easily insert new #hashtag topics and links as you discover new Twitter resources to follow. Once you add a #hashtag and create a link to it, you can quickly return to it.
  • As you work with the mind map, you’ll probably find that some #hashtags are more popular and useful than others. You can then delete the least-satisfactory #hashtags.
  • You can also use icons to visually display the relative importance of #hashtags in each area, i.e., ranking them from most important to least important.
