Looking for help choosing a color schemes for your blog or website? The following websites make it easy for even color-challenged individuals to choose a color scheme for their website.

A color scheme, or palette, consists of a combination of foreground and background colors that work well together. Although color theory is complicated, choosing appropriate colors becomes a lot easier when you take advantage of websites like the following:

  • Color Scheme Designer. Start by clicking anywhere on the color wheel for a starting point, and the Color Scheme Designer shows you a variety of matching colors.
  • Color Blender. The Color Blender instantly displays matching colors when you use the 3 sliders to choose the initial color. (You may have to scroll down slightly to reveal the sliders to get started.)
  • Color Schemer. At the Color Schemer site, you can browse over 4,600 different color schemes, or you can create your own using the Online Color Schemer tool.

Each of the above websites makes it easy for you to create your own color schemes for blogs and websites by simply “trying out” different combinations of colors. Any of the above can be your first step towards color mastery. At each case, after choosing an appropriate color scheme, you can copy the exact RGB or HTML color values for each of the colors you want to use on your website as well as your print or PDF marketing materials.

    Great resources!

Since I’m not particularly artistic or good at color selection or combinations, these sites will help me when my clients want me to set their new blogs up.

    Thanks again,
