I was impressed by the simple web design solution for authors with a multi-site web presence that best-selling author Marci Shimoff used for her NY Times #1 bestseller, Happy for No Reason: 7 Steps to Being Happy from the Inside Out, (shown below).
Notice, in the screen capture of her website banner, above, note the mouse pointer in the upper right hand corner. The mouse pointer is hovering next to a “banner within a banner” which permits website visitors to easily access the home page of her website.
The same basic idea could be used by any author who has a multi-site web presence. The banner for each book’s website could contain a link to the author’s home page, which would provide access to each of the other websites.
This would facilitate what Don Nicholas’s Mequoda Group calls a “classic” hub and spoke arrangement for information publishers who publish magazines and newsletters to multiple niche markets.
A simple “banner within a banner” makes it easy for visitors to access her home page from her book’s landing page.
