Social media marketing helps you write your book and get published faster

Tuesday’s writing tip

More and more authors are adopting social media marketing tools, like blogs and podcasts, to help them simultaneously write and promote their books. The age of the isolated author is over. More and more Published & Profitable interview guests tell how their blogs preceded their books. In some cases, they hadn’t even considered writing a book until publishers began contacting them through their blog and encouraging them to write a book.

I’ve created a Social Media Planner MindManager 8 mindmap template, above, to help authors evaluate their social marketing options and create a practical system of creatomg social marketing content that can be synchronized with writing their book.

Published & Profitable friends and members are invited to a free teleseminar discussion of ways authors, and those who want to get published, can leverage Web 2.0 tools to enhance their profits–both before and after their book is published. We’ll also explore how social media marketing relates to an author’s Profit Wheel.

Attendees will gain a new understanding of how and when they should get started in social marketing, as well as a list of resources. To attend this free call, dial 218-486-1616 and enter PIN 513391#.
