In exploring the various Writer’s Digest blogs, after completing yesterday’s post about Brian Klems’ discussion of ways to locate the names of literary agents who have represented books in your field, I discovered another extremely useful Writer’s Digest blog response to a reader’s question

In a recent post entitled Breaking Down the Query Letter on his Guide to Literary Agents Editor’s Blog, Chuck Sambuchino concisely describes a simple 3-paragraph formula authors can follow for crafting query letter to agents. I was impressed by the logic of Chuck’s structure. Chuck’s formula simplifies a task that can sometimes cause authors weeks of unnecessary delays making the agent connections they need to obtain competent and enthusiastic representation.

With a formula this simple to follow, there’s no excuse not to get started today on the hunt for an agent to represent your book!
