Wednesday’s promoting tip for authors

MindManager’s Map Parts make it easy to visually track your progress as you complete your various marketing projects, like monthly newsletters, blogs, or podcasts. You can also use MindManager’s Map Parts to track your progress while writing your book, to visually indicate the completion of each of the chapters chapters in your book’s table of contents.

Simply assign various Fill Colors as Map Parts to indicate when projects have been completed. In my case, I chose a light gray color to indicate project completion. This creates a very noticeable visual contrast between completed projects and future projects, yet the titles still remain visible for easy review.

Using MindManager’s Map Parts also makes it easier for consistently apply the same text color each time by simply dragging the named Fill Color from the Map Parts menu at the right of the screen.

See previous post about MindManager’s Task Info to add starting dates and due dates for each project.

Note: If you’re not already a MindManager user, you can download a free 21-day trial at Mindjet’s website.
