Authors looking for tips for choosing book titles should attend Michael Port’s “Book Yourself Solid” teleseminar interview with Roger C. Parker. Michael and Roger will discuss the importance of using book titles as branding tools for authors. “Too many authors fail to consider the long-term implications of their book titles,” according to Roger. Michael Port is the author of the best-selling Book Yourself Solid.
Michael Port, author of Book Yourself Solid and the forthcoming Beyond Booked Solid, will be discussing book marketing title strategies and title success tips during a 1-hour teleseminar. The interview will discuss the importance of viewing book titles as key marketing tools in an individual’s long-term personal branding strategy. “Too many authors view titles from the perspective of just single book. Yet, the track record of nonfiction authors who choose the right book titles is overwhelming.” As Michael and Roger explore the relationship between book titles and personal branding, the following topics will be discussed:
- Characteristics of effective book titles
- Target marketing with book titles
- How to add urgency to your book title
Specific questions Michael will be asking Roger include…
- What’s the difference between a title and a brand?
- What’s the difference between just “getting published” and really “thinking big”
- Why do many titles fail?
- What does length have to do with title success?
- What are the most important characteristics of effective titles?

Coming up with a title of a book is exceedingly hard for me, especially when you begin factoring in all of the key words you are trying to target. I guess I missed the teleseminar but look forward to hearing the interview.
