Wednesday’s promotion tip
“The you post, the more your blog succeeds.” That’s one of the most frequently heard formulas for blog success. It’s advice that most authors could benefit from as they market and promote their books. But, whether they’re writing their book, or are busy marketing and promoting it, most new authors are concerned that they don’t have the time to create a continuing stream of blog posts.
That’s the beauty of the blog content formula that PR Lead’s Dan Janal has created for his Cool Book of the Day blog. Dan’s Cool Book of the Day posts are based on 5 simple questions he invites authors to answer:
- Who is the intended audience?
- What is the book about?
- Why are you the best person to write this book?
- How is this book different from other books on this topic?
- Is there anything else we should know about this book?
With those 5 simple questions, Dan has replaced the emptiness of not knowing what to write about by creating–as Michael Gerber wrote in The E-Myth and E-Myth Revised–a process. Once the process is identified and created, the day-to-day work becomes relatively simple. Instead of a source of stress, each blog post is simplified to just another task that can be efficiently handled.
Once you do the same, i.e., come up with a series of questions you address each day, it becomes feasible to maintain your blog posting no matter how busy you become.
In fact, as Dan Janal proves, you don’t even have to write the answers yourself–you can get others to answer the questions for you! Authors of all types of books can easily adapt the idea to their own needs.

What are your 5 questions–and who can you get to answer them each day?

Thanks, Roger! Good to hear from you!
You can submit interviews based on your books as well. I’d be honored to post them!
I hope all is well with you!
